Dads Final Journey
Family's trip to Severn Valley Railway 19th November 2006

It was a bright brisk Sunday morning the 19th November was the day we said our farewell to Dad.
4 cars made the journey to Kidderminster to ride the steam train that was to be Dads final destination.
Pauline, Simon, Steph, Richard and Tristan along with their partners and some of the grandchildren boarded the train to Goodbye to our Dad.  Severn Valley Railway the ultimate resting place for our Dad. A place he loved and spent many a happy day at. A sad day but not a tearful one as we all knew this was the place Dad loved so much and at one time or another each of us had spent time on this track with Dad. Its a special place we can visit again in the future and feel close to Dad.

On the way to Lunch Richard kept saying its only round the corner!!

Dad
I never thought losing you would be so hard
I somehow always thought you'd be there
Years of wasted opportunities due to stubbornness and pride
I may not have seen you for sometime but you were always in my thoughts
I never got the chance to say goodbye
I told you once I forgave you and all our pain had gone away
I'm so glad I did
We all have regrets and mine is being pig headed and stubborn two of the many traits I got from you
But at the end of the day you were never perfect but one thing no one can take away from you, you were my Dad
You never left us always tried your best and that's what counts
so this site is dedicated to you DAD with all our Love
